Static cling is not cute. I always keep Static Guard in my wardrobe kit to keep the cling under control.
If I am on an out of town production, the FAA does not allow you to pack aerosol products. For short productions or personal travel, I will pack dryer sheets for a quick static cling fix. Simply rub a dryer sheet over clothes (on figure) to remove static cling. If possible, rub the insides of the clothes too. Dryer sheets will also neutralize the electric charge in your hair.
Traditional dryer sheets are packed full of chemicals and are considered toxic. Seventh Generation offers a non-toxic, compostable, product (pictured below.) Their dryer sheets are also free of dyes and fragrances; perfect for your most sensitive talent.
Another trick for static cling, you can also use a metal clothes hanger to discharge the electricity. Simply glide the long side of a wire or metal hanger over your clothes to remove static electricity. Kinda clever!
